Colocation Questions Answered

In dedicated server hosting, we own the physical hardware and you rent it from us. In colocation, you own your own physical servers and ship them to our data center — we provide the rack space, power, cooling, network connectivity, and physical security. You retain full ownership of your hardware asset, including depreciation benefits and the freedom to configure any hardware component exactly as needed.
You ship your servers to our DC address via courier or freight carrier. Our receiving team accepts deliveries during business hours, photographs and documents every item, and stores them securely until installation. We then rack-and-stack according to your instructions. Alternatively, you may visit the facility in person (by appointment) with security escort to install your own equipment.
A cross-connect is a physical fiber or copper cable running from your cabinet to the Meet-Me Room (MMR) where ISP and carrier equipment terminates. You need a cross-connect to connect your servers to your chosen ISP, to another tenant cabinet within our facility, or to an internet exchange peering port. Cross-connects are the physical layer that enables all external network connectivity in a colocation facility.
Yes — you may visit your colocated servers by appointment made at least 48 hours in advance via our customer portal. On arrival, you will be issued a visitor pass, escorted through biometric security layers by one of our engineers, and given access to your specific cabinet. All visits are logged with entry/exit timestamps and CCTV evidence retained for 90 days.
All plans include dual A+B power feeds to your rack unit — two independently wired power circuits from separate UPS banks. Your dual-PSU server connects PSU-A to Feed A and PSU-B to Feed B. If one entire feed fails, your server continues running uninterrupted on the remaining feed. Power is metered per-cabinet and included within plan allocations (350W to 10kW depending on plan).
Our remote hands team can physically diagnose your server, swap failed components (drives, RAM, PSU) using your pre-shipped spare parts, and restart systems — all without you traveling to the facility. For planned hardware upgrades, we offer smart hands service with advance scheduling. Emergency hardware triage begins within 15 minutes of your support ticket for P1 (production down) incidents.
Yes — private locked cage configurations are available for Half-Cabinet and Full Cabinet plans. A private cage provides a steel mesh enclosure around your cabinet(s) with a separate keyed lock, preventing any other tenant or even our own staff from physically accessing your hardware without your authorization. Contact our sales team for multi-cabinet cage quotes.
